Meet Checkers, a charming 4-year-old tuxedo cat ready for his forever home. With his classic black and white coat, he's a striking presence and has a heart full of love to share. Though he might be a bit shy as he settles in, with some time and patience, he'll reveal just how affectionate and friendly he can be. He's neutered, vaccinated, and fully prepared for a new beginning. Checkers will come microchipped, and you’ll also receive a complimentary health exam at a local vet, plus a supply of Hill's Science Diet food to help him adjust to his new surroundings. Visit him at the Santa Barbara Humane's Santa Maria campus if you're ready to bring home a loving feline companion. The adoption hours are daily from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., except Wednesdays.
