Meet Frankie! This handsome 52-pound Lab mix is estimated to be around 2-3 years old. He arrived at our shelter with his brother, CJ, after their beloved owner passed away, and we've been lucky to have him as a guest ever since. Frankie's happiest moments are outdoors, where he loves to stretch his legs and explore. With a medium energy level, he thrives with an active family ready to include him in their adventures. Think hiking trails, park visits, or splashing in water — that’s his idea of a perfect day! This smart boy knows several commands such as "sit," "quiet," and "outside." He can be a bit strong on the leash, so he’ll do best with someone who can continue his training and help channel his enthusiasm. A fenced yard would be ideal for him to run and play safely. Frankie is dog-friendly, but a meet-and-greet is needed if you have a resident pup. He hasn't been tested with cats, and we don’t yet know how he interacts with children. Frankie is currently available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, so you can welcome him home while he completes his veterinary care.
