At just 16 months old and weighing around 40 lbs, Rye Rye has overcome some serious challenges. Rescued from a high kill shelter where she faced the threat of euthanasia, she came to us scared and unsure of the world around her. Initially, Rye Rye struggled with trust, often keeping her guard up. It’s evident that she hasn’t always experienced kindness, but with the help of her fellow canine companions, she's beginning to see that not all humans are a threat. Rye Rye is still a bit nervous. She will require a patient and understanding owner who understands that she needs to take her time in building trust. She may not rush in for cuddles, but once she opens up, the bond formed is quiet and deeply loyal.
