Essex is in foster care in Houston, Texas, and is ready to find his forever home. At approximately five years old and around ten pounds, he’s as close to a cockapoo as you can get, according to his DNA test. Essex loves to entertain himself with toys and enjoys racing around the yard. He has a playful attitude and gets along with other dogs, but he’d thrive best either as an only dog or with one laid-back companion. This little guy walks well on a leash and is quite house trained, though he has a bold, alpha personality that requires an experienced owner. After being rescued, Essex was shaved down due to matting, but his coat is now filling out beautifully.
