Bessie is searching for a forever home. Rescued from a hoarding situation, she’s slowly coming out of her shell in her foster home. Initially scared, this sweet girl has grown fond of her foster mom, enjoying good food and treats. Though she’s about 2 years old and weighs around 18 lbs, you won't find her growing any larger. Bessie appears to be a cute terrier mix with a docked tail. She gets along well with other small dogs and has not bothered the cats in her foster environment. Bessie is doing great in her crate, remaining calm and collected, but she prefers to be with her humans. She’ll happily head to her crate if she feels threatened, as it serves as her safe spot. Leash walking is a little challenging for her right now, so a fenced yard would help her feel secure while she explores and understands her surroundings.
