About Hazel

Sweet Hazel is a 9-year-old, 32-lb. Shih Tzu mix who brings calmness and affection wherever she goes. Initially shy, Hazel warms up quickly and loves to snuggle with her people, showering them with kisses. Her ideal home is one where she can be the sole dog, absent of children, as she thrives on human interaction. Hazel gets along well with other dogs and cats in her foster home, but she truly prefers human companionship. She's house-trained and enjoys the freedom of a backyard. Although Hazel is also crate-trained, she is trustworthy indoors, rarely needing crating. Walks are her favorite bonding activity, and she does well on a leash. Each night, she seeks out her humans for a gentle nudge and a goodnight kiss before settling in her doggie bed to sleep peacefully. Hazel is diabetic and requires insulin twice daily, but she’s managing her condition well. This loving dog is eager to find a home where she can receive all the love she deserves.
