About Maizy

Maizy has a way of leaving an impression that lingers long after you've met her. When she first arrived at the Harris County Animal Shelter, she was shy and scared, quietly watching the world pass by as other dogs found homes. Just when her time was running out, her foster mom came to the rescue, giving Maizy a chance at a new life. You can see the transformation in her eyes; she’s gone from a trembling pup to a delightful, affectionate companion who thrives on love. At approximately 3 years old and weighing 44 pounds, Maizy is not just house trained, she's also crate trained and walks gracefully on a leash. She gets along beautifully with both cats and dogs, showing a particularly gentle spirit with her small foster sister. Her playful nature shines through in her playful zoomies, and she’s always eager to share sweet kisses with her humans. Maizy enjoys a good chew on her toys and can’t get enough of scrambled eggs, her favorite treat. Having been a devoted mama before, she now seeks a home where she can receive the affection and nurturing she deserves. Her calm demeanor makes her content just to be by your side, whether she’s following you around or cuddling next to you for a nap. Maizy has truly blossomed and is ready to take a permanent spot in a forever home. Could that be yours? Whether you're located in Texas or far away, we are committed to helping make Maizy's happy ending a reality. Click apply to start the adoption process.
