Calvin is a resilient 6-month-old Chihuahua mix, weighing in at just 9 pounds. This charming little guy has faced some challenges, recently undergoing cherry eye repair and leg amputation due to a fractured femoral head. Despite his past, Calvin navigates his world with remarkable determination, even managing steps on his foster's deck without assistance. He loves to play in the yard with other dogs and is adapting wonderfully to his tri-pawed lifestyle—his unique gait only adds to his charm. Initially a bit shy, Calvin quickly warms up when he feels secure. He settles well in his crate and is doing a fantastic job with potty training. While he’s had some adjustment issues, particularly when it comes to the dreaded cone of shame, with reassurance and some downtime, he's able to manage his stressers effectively. Calvin enjoys being carried by adults and is fine with baths and ear cleanings. However, he may not be the best fit for homes with very small children, and his feelings towards cats remain a mystery.
