Meet Abby! This lovely little girl and her five siblings were just hours away from a tragic fate. They were placed on the euthanasia list and, after receiving six extensions, we managed to rescue them just before the Fourth of July. Their brave mother, Liberty, has done an incredible job caring for her puppies, and each pup received a patriotic name in celebration of their second chance at life. At only 6 weeks old, Abby is a precious Cattle Dog/Rottweiler mix, and there's a world of adventure awaiting her. Although she’s still a tiny baby, she's growing stronger every day in foster care and will be ready to meet her forever family in about 2-3 weeks, after receiving her second round of puppy vaccines. Right now, Abby is discovering the joys of puppyhood—wobbly steps, playful tumbles with her siblings, and cozy naps after a day of exploration. Her sweet, curious, and affectionate personality is just beginning to shine through. Because she's so young, Abby will thrive with a committed family ready for the fun (and effort) of raising a puppy. She’ll need guidance with crate training, house training, leash walking, socialization, and all the puppy basics. With patience and positive reinforcement, she has all the potential to become a wonderful lifelong companion. Cattle Dog mixes are known for being smart, loyal, and active.
