Meet Charles! This delightful 4-year-old Poodle mix weighs about 14 pounds and is ready to find the loving home he truly deserves. Charles has faced some challenges. He came to the shelter in rough condition, covered in painful mats and dealing with a skin infection. After two long months, just as kennel stress was weighing on him, we stepped in to help. Now safe and sound, Charles is proving to be a sweet and joyful companion. He thrives on playing with other dogs, tossing his favorite toys around, and curling up in laps for snuggles. While he doesn’t particularly enjoy grooming, it’s clear that he hasn’t had much experience with it. Charles remains brave and gentle during sessions, though he will need patience and breaks. His coat was shaved down due to severe mats, but with regular care, it will grow back beautifully. Currently, he's adjusting well to crate training, settling in at night and making great progress with potty training, especially with a little encouragement using a dog door.
