About Blackie
Meet Blackie, a young male Domestic Short Hair and Tortoiseshell mix with a striking black coat. Blackie's journey has been quite remarkable. Once a feral cat in Leominster, MA, he was looked after by a kind family who built a shelter for him. Though they feared cats, they provided him the necessities of life. Eventually, his health declined and he was brought to Fitchburg Friends of Felines, where he transformed his life through care, healing, and a unique approach to wellness that included Reiki. Now, Blackie is more than just a survivor; heβs a loving companion in the making. This inquisitive fellow prefers a calm environment with gentle humans who can appreciate his shy nature. He needs time to warm up, but once he feels secure, he transforms into a cuddle monster. Blackie enjoys exploring new spaces, making him a curious and engaging friend. He has been found house trained and is up to date on his vaccinations. Due to his special needs, including a past health challenge, he is looking for an understanding family who will cherish him as he learns to trust. If you have the patience and kindness to give Blackie the home he deserves, he will reward you with affection and cuddles over time. Remember, it's all about taking it slow so that he feels safe and loved. Click apply to start the adoption process.
