Meet Louie-I, a lively male Pembroke Welsh Corgi, born on March 31, 2021. He has a striking red and white coat that reflects his energetic personality. Recently coming into rescue after his owner passed away, Louie is looking for a loving home where he can shine as the only dog. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. In his foster home, Louie has shown he's smart and eager for affection. While he enjoys being around people, he needs to be the sole canine companion and does not get along with other dogs or children. Louie's strong personality means he’s learned a few commands, but he’ll benefit from additional obedience training, especially with leash handling, as he tends to pull. He is house-trained and has adapted well to crate training. Louie's strong character comes with a bit of resource guarding, so he requires a patient adopter who can establish consistent rules and boundaries. He has selective hearing at times, typical for his breed, and does prefer a home without children. A secure fenced yard is a requirement for his adoption.
