Pixel is a 3-4 year old, 30 lb neutered male border collie mix who's been looking for a loving home for over a year. Initially recruited as an Urban Search and Rescue canine, he had to exit the program due to a soft trachea that affects his breathing during intense activities, especially in the heat. While he may not dash through the wilderness anymore, Pixel is a delightful companion ready to offer affection and playful energy. This medium-sized, tricolor mix is house trained, crate trained, and friendly with people. He enjoys casual hangouts with other dogs but isn't quite sure how to play with them yet. Motivated by toys and treats, he excels in training and is eager to please. He'll thrive with training that involves tricks and games, followed by snuggles on the couch at the end of the day. Pixel can’t wear collars due to his trachea condition but must be in a harness.
