About Hero

Hero is a playful brown tabby shorthaired kitten, about 3 and a half months old as of early August 2026. Found as a frightened baby in Waukegan, she has come a long way from her rough start. Hero earned her name for being the spark that led to her and her siblings’ rescue when she approached a family on a walk. Since then, she has developed into the embodiment of kitten energy. Always ready for playtime, Hero is the last to arrive at dinner; chasing after imaginary prey takes precedence for her! This sweet girl gets along with other cats and would thrive best if adopted with her brother Brynn or placed in a home with an active feline companion. While she's not been tested with dogs, a calm introduction might work. Hero is not suited for busy homes with young children, as she prefers a quieter environment where she can comfortably explore her playful side. She's already house trained and is awaiting a loving family to call her own. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
