Birdie has an adventurous spirit and loves to go for walks. She’s great on a leash and would thrive as your daily walking companion. Playing fetch is another of her favorite pastimes—she’s all about chasing stuffed toys! If you have a pool, be prepared for lots of splashing and fun. As an Alaskan Malamute mix, Birdie brings a sassy personality and a strong, energetic nature. She would benefit from a family that knows the ropes of dog ownership and can support her continued improvement. While Birdie previously lived with another dog, she will need slow introductions to make sure everyone hits it off; her sanctuary friends aren’t certain how she feels about cats yet. Birdie does love to chase deer, so it’s important for her to stay leashed or secured in a fenced area during outdoor adventures.
