Meet Zelda Houston, a petite ~8-month-old brown tabby girl with a gentle spirit. She came to us from Houston, where she and her siblings were found as strays and almost faced euthanasia due to their fear of humans. With the help of dedicated fosters, Zelda and her family overcame ringworm and upper respiratory infections, but sadly, she remains the only one still waiting for a forever home. With her petite frame and a history of being the runt of the litter, Zelda has recently improved from her previous G.I. upset-related challenges. While she does occasionally have feline herpes flare-ups, these usually resolve on their own and are common among cats. She thrives in a stable home environment where she can feel secure. Zelda tends to be shy, often seeking out cozy hiding spots when feeling uncertain. She may not always be ready for pets but can accept gentle touches with time and trust. She's formed good friendships with other cats, so she would appreciate having a feline companion. While we’re unsure about her comfort around dogs, her delicate nature means she’ll need an understanding adopter willing to be patient as she blossoms.
