Ember is a beautiful German Shepherd, around 3 years old. She's incredibly sweet and eager to please, with a playful spirit that loves big plushies and squeaky toys. Ember enjoys her time cuddling just as much as she does playing. She would thrive best with an owner experienced in the German Shepherd breed. Ember can express herself vocally by being chattery and grabby, traits that might be surprising to someone unfamiliar with GSDs. While she is gentle with kids, a home with older children would be ideal since she's still gauging her boundaries. Her past seems unclear, but her foster suspects she may not have had the best interactions with other dogs, as she has been learning how to behave appropriately around her foster brother, a calm male German Shepherd. With time and proper introductions, we think she would get along well with non-dominant dogs. She's had to adjust to sharing attention and resources without resource guarding. Despite her previous challenges, she's making great strides and is proving to be a fast learner in her new environment. An added benefit is that Ember is fully potty trained and doesn’t cause any damage at home. While Ember isn't a fan of being crated and may stress in that situation, she can be left unsupervised in the house. She's also an escape artist, so yard time should be supervised. She's fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Ember is currently in Colleyville, TX, and is available for adoption or transport out of state.
