Bambi is an Abyssinian/Brown Tabby mix with a remarkable story that began in an apartment complex where she had no shelter or protection. This young mama, tiny and thin, gave birth to her kittens in a plastic storage tub. Kind neighbors tried to help, but it wasn’t enough. When her kittens were just a week and a half old, the apartment manager insisted they be removed, sparking a desperate rescue effort. When we found Bambi, she was trembling yet fiercely protective, refusing to leave her little ones. Now safe in her foster home, she’s learning what it means to be loved. While she may still show a bit of spunk from her protective nature, she is also incredibly loving and gentle. She comes alive with affection, chirping softly when she sees her foster family.
