Meet Frankie! This two-year-old, 80 lbs. Great Pyrenees mix is on the lookout for a new home after being left behind by his previous owners. A kind neighbor took him in, but they travel a lot and aren’t a good long-term fit for Frankie. Frankie is neutered, vaccinated, and will receive a microchip before adoption. Although he tested positive for heartworms, he is undergoing treatment using a slow-kill method, which is gentle and manageable. Frankie is a sweet, affectionate dog who thrives on closeness with his humans. He enjoys ear scratches, cuddles on the couch, and will gladly sit in your lap if given the chance. He is potty trained and crate trained and adapts well to both indoor and outdoor environments. While Frankie loves water, he’s not fond of hard splashes. He’s friendly with other dogs and cats but would do best in a home without livestock due to his prey drive. That said, Frankie does have a sensitivity to loud equipment like lawn mowers, which has caused stress in the past. However, once he feels safe and comfortable, he is incredibly loyal and affectionate. Frankie needs a patient and loving home that understands his quirks and will help him thrive.
