Meet Comet! This handsome young fellow is the sweetest Dutch Shepherd around. He came to us with some wounds on his back and an ear infection, but he's on the mend and ready to find his forever home. Comet loves nothing more than butt scratches from his humans and has a special talent for making friends. He’s very people-friendly but tends to get a bit too excited about treats, so a home with older children would be ideal. Comet is strong on the leash, but he’s a smart boy and easily motivated by food, which should make training a breeze. However, he does have a high prey drive and will not do well in a home with cats. His estimated birth date is April 5, 2017, making him 9 years and 4 months old. He weighs a robust 89 lbs and keeps his kennel tidy, so we believe he’s house trained. While Comet hasn’t met other dogs yet due to his recent injuries, we’ll update once he’s had a chance to socialize.
