At approximately 3 years old and weighing around 62 pounds, this lovely girl is currently under the care of the Gilmer County Animal Shelter in Ellijay, GA. Kate came to us heartworm positive and has been in a foster home completing her treatment. She’ll be ready to officially find her family by mid to late August. Described as "the perfect dog," she’s good on a leash, friendly, and affectionate with people. Kate maintains a calm demeanor and is house trained, thanks to her past owner and foster confirmation. She gets along well with other dogs in play and would benefit from a cat test if there are feline friends in the household.
