Meet Colby! This floppy-eared pup is eager to prance into your home and steal your heart. Colby loves his walks, often with his nose to the ground, exploring the world around him. He arrived from an out-of-state shelter, so his past is a bit of a mystery. Since joining us, he's proved to be a sweet dog with a big heart. Colby has met other dogs during his time here and showed more interest in being a walking buddy than in playing. If you have a resident dog, you're welcome to bring them along for a meet-and-greet to ensure they click. We are still learning how he interacts with other animals or children, so we recommend slow introductions to set everyone up for success. Colby is heartworm positive, and while adopters will need to manage his treatment plan—which will be covered by Pender Veterinary Centre—he will leave with a dental voucher for a future appointment. This voucher allows for a free dental service, which includes pre-dental blood work, x-rays, cleaning, and any necessary procedures afterward. Colby's also eligible for an Adoption Audition, a 5-day, no-strings-attached trial adoption period. It's a great way to see if he’s the right fit for your family. Interested?
