August, affectionately known as Gussie, is a delightful little guy who’s ready for a loving home. We believe he’s a mixed breed, possibly a Havanese and Poodle, with a fluffy white and cream curly coat that gives him a charming teddy bear look. This playful 15-pound, 2-year-old boy has had quite a journey. After being abandoned and bouncing between families, he's finally settling into his foster home where he’s shown his true colors. Once a bit anxious and defensive, Gussie has transformed into a sweet companion, happily exploring the yard and engaging with his toys. While he’s house trained and comfortable in his crate, Gussie would thrive in a dog-savvy home that understands his past. He gets along with older kids and can adapt to being the only pet, though he enjoys the company of other dogs too. After a little grooming session, he’ll look even more dapper!
