Meet Sunshine. This 1-year-old Cane Corso found herself needing a new home when her previous owner could no longer keep her due to housing restrictions. Sunshine is a sweet yet timid girl who’s still finding her confidence in new situations. When approached in her kennel, she might lower her body and wag her tail nervously, but she tolerates handling and allows staff to pet and leash her. Once outside, she may hesitate to walk and needs gentle encouragement to start moving. Although she can walk nicely for a bit, sudden sounds might startle her, prompting a break. To help her gain confidence, continued leash training and plenty of positive experiences are essential. Sunshine would flourish in a calm household that has the patience to help her come out of her shell. It’s best that she goes to a home without small children, as her timid nature can make her easily startled.
