About Cooper

Meet Cooper. Cooper is an 11-year-old Shorkie (a mix of Shih Tzu and Yorkshire Terrier) with a heart that's much bigger than his small frame. After spending his life with one family, he now seeks a new beginning through no fault of his own; his owner simply decided they no longer wanted him. Despite experiencing heartbreak, Cooper remains hopeful and continues to love people. He thrives on companionship, happiest when near his person, whether watching TV, reading, or enjoying a quiet afternoon. At 11, he appreciates the finer things in life: cozy beds, sunny spots for naps, and leisurely walks filled with love and attention. Cooper deserves a family that sees his age as a blessing rather than a setback. Senior dogs like him have so much love to give, and he’s ready to spend his golden years proving just how special they can be. If you're looking for a faithful companion who asks for little but gives an abundance of affection, Cooper may very well be the missing piece of your family. Every dog deserves to grow old feeling loved. Adoption Fee: $250. We’re located in Fosters, AL, and provide transport to St. Louis, MO, and the Northeast regions—connect with us to learn more!
