Meet Meatball! This handsome Pittie mix is around 1 year old and tips the scales at 67 pounds. Meatball came to us as a stray, and it took him some time to adjust to shelter life. Initially timid, he has slowly begun to show his true self with patience and kindness. New situations can still overwhelm him, but a gentle touch and some tasty treats go a long way in helping him relax. Once Meatball feels safe, he is affectionate and enjoys spending time with his humans. He already knows how to sit for treats and walks nicely on a leash, making him a great companion for calm strolls. His ideal home would be with a patient adopter who understands the need for a slow introduction process. He has done well meeting other dogs and could benefit from a confident canine friend, and with gradual introductions, he could adapt well to living with a cat. A home with children aged 12 and older would also suit him well. Meatball is currently in a Foster-to-Adopt program, which means he can start bonding with his future family while waiting for his scheduled neuter procedure.
