AvailableMew is a female, altered, small calico kitten, approximately 8 weeks old. She is fully vaccinated and house trained. Currently undergoing deworming treatment, Mew is indeed a special case due to her FIV positive status. Despite this, she remains a loving and sweet companion, ready to bring joy into her new home in Holland, MI.
About Mew
Meet Mew! When she first arrived at the shelter as a stray, Mew had some health issues that raised concerns. With infected eyes and wounds on her face, she needed care, and after just a few days of love and treatment, she started to improve! Mew requires a special home because she tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), which means her immune system may be weaker. Despite this, she can enjoy a happy, fulfilling life. It’s important to know that FIV spreads through bite wounds, so we aim to keep her safe by not adopting her to homes with other cats unless they are also FIV positive. Good news: Mew can safely live with dogs, as they cannot catch FIV. Currently, Mew is undergoing deworming treatment for common roundworms. Keeping her litter box clean and ensuring her paws are clean can help minimize any risk of transmission. Mew is about 8 weeks old, full of sweetness and spunk! The adoption fee includes spaying, vaccinations, a microchip, and other treatments. To meet Mew, please follow the application process through our website.
