Meet Lexi, a lovely Carolina Dog who's an affectionate and loyal companion. At nearly 9 years old, she still has plenty of energy and charm. While she may experience a bit of stiffness, it doesn’t hold her back from enjoying life. Lexi loves to engage her mind with food puzzles and enrichment games. She’s treat-motivated and always eager to learn new things. Lexi enjoys a balanced lifestyle; belly rubs and naps are just as important to her as walks and car rides. Her previous home was stable, and she feels most secure when her humans are nearby. Although she's fine being left alone for half the day, she’d prefer a calm household where she can monitor her surroundings. Lexi tends to bond closely with her primary caregivers, but she needs time and encouragement to welcome new people into her life. While she hasn’t had much experience with other dogs or cats, she is learning about them in her neighborhood and would likely prefer to be the only pet at home. Her foster family has been helping her expand her social circle, and training sessions have been valuable to build her confidence and comfort around new people.
