Meet Polito, a spirited 2-year-old Wire-Haired Terrier mix currently thriving in his Pacific Northwest foster home. At just 9 pounds, Polito might be small in size, but his affection and personality are larger than life. This sweet boy loves to cuddle, whether it's by your side during work hours or curled up next to you on the couch. His playful side shines through when he chases small toys or engages in tug with his fleece rope. Expect daily bursts of joy, including his signature bunny hops during zoomies around the house. Polito is calm and rarely barks—his biggest "enemy" is often just his reflection! On walks, he exhibits curiosity towards other dogs without barking, hopeful they'll become friends. He enjoys the company of other small dogs and is wonderful with children, making him a great companion for families. Due to his size, care should be taken around larger dogs. He’s also house-trained, rides well in the car, and walks nicely on a leash. Polito would excel in an environment where he receives daily love and interaction, whether it be in an apartment or house. While a securely fenced yard is a plus, it's not a requirement. Polito’s journey to safety began with a rescue from a dog-hoarding situation in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he was fortunate to be saved along with other small dogs.
