Meet Marcy, a sweet FoxieDoxie (Fox Hound Terrier/Dachshund mix) on the lookout for a patient and loving heart. Marcy’s journey began sadly, abandoned by her family when they moved out. Alone and scared, she endured days of uncertainty until found by her landlord and taken to a high-intake shelter. There, she developed an upper respiratory infection, which landed her on the euthanasia list. Fortunately, our rescue intervened just in time. Now fully recovered and spayed, Marcy is up to date on her vaccinations and ready for a fresh start. However, her past has made her cautiously selective when meeting new people. She won’t be the dog rushing up to greet strangers right away; patience and kindness are key to winning her trust. Once you do, you'll experience a delightful personality unfold—a gentle, funny, and affectionate pup who shows her true self with every moment of comfort.
