Buddy may have made a rough first impression at the shelter, but don't let that fool you. This little guy has one of the biggest hearts around. When Buddy arrived, he was absolutely terrified. The unfamiliar sights and sounds left him so scared that he reacted negatively with staff. Thankfully, in a loving foster home, his true personality shined through, showing that he’s incredibly loving and affectionate. Buddy is a gentle gentleman who adores snuggling under the covers with his favorite person. He’s the perfect little cuddle buddy, wanting nothing more than to be close. He’s also taken on the role of "activity police," keeping the younger dogs in check whenever playtime gets too rowdy. Like many older dogs, Buddy appreciates having his boundaries respected. He may grumble or gently mouth if he's feeling bothered, but he's never been aggressive. For this reason, he’d thrive in a home with adults or older, dog-savvy children who understand the need for personal space. House trained and well-mannered, Buddy gets along wonderfully with both people and other dogs. He finds his greatest joy curled up beside his person, soaking up pets and enjoying the quiet life.
