Bessie is an 8-year-old Beagle/Dachshund mix, currently fostered near Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This sweet girl has a heart full of love and a keen nose, always ready for her next adventure. She's on the lookout for a family to share her golden years with, and believe me, she has plenty of affection to give. Bessie enjoys cuddling and exploring outdoors, especially with her favorite people. Her strong bonds with humans mean she thrives on companionship. Food motivates her, making training a breeze; she’s already potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Just a heads up, she may pull if something captures her curious attention. While she knows commands like sit and go to bed, her enthusiasm can sometimes lead to some playful bounciness. She gets along well with other dogs but has a slight dominant streak. Bessie also does great with children and is eager to be part of family activities.
