Meet Comet: a charming 9-week-old Australian Shepherd and Labrador Retriever mix who tips the scales at about 5 pounds. He and his seven siblings were discovered in a laundry basket behind the Blytheville, AR shelter, left dehydrated in the sun. Thankfully, a rescue stepped in, and now Comet is waiting in Horn Lake, MS, to catch a freedom ride north to Pennsylvania on August 15. Comet’s playful personality makes him a joy to be around. He gets along well with other dogs and children, making him a perfect fit for a family environment. As a young puppy, he’s still learning the ropes of house training, but he's crate trained and picking up leash skills quickly. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can run and play freely as he grows. Comet is up to date on his puppy shots and will need to be neutered when he's older.
