About Birkin
Birkin is a lovely young Australian Shepherd who was rescued from a high-shelter in Kern County. Initially, no one came for her, but now sheโs found her way into a caring foster home. Birkin has a strong bond with her humans, often leaning more towards people than other dogs. She thrives on companionship and will need some boundaries to help manage her affection. Currently weighing around 40 pounds, Birkin has a long, beautiful coat and a distinctive Merle (Blue) coloring. Sheโs perfectly comfortable and sociable, harmoniously living with a cat and showing friendliness towards other dogs and children. While one of her eyes opens smaller than the other due to a non-painful condition called Horner's syndrome, this doesnโt affect her comfort or happiness. Birkin does very well in her crate and is house trained. All dogs in our program are up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. We prioritize finding the best match for our dogs rather than sticking to a first-come, first-served policy. An application, adoption fee, and contract are required. You can meet Birkin with an approved application. Thank you for considering a rescue dog as your next family member. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
