About Frasier
Frasier spent five years with his last family before finding his way back to Midwest Pet Refuge, and he's still adjusting to this new chapter in his life. At heart, he's a lap cat who craves companionship once he feels safe. Building that trust takes time, as he’s shy around new people and typically warms up to women quicker than men. Frasier isn't aggressive; he’s just anxious and needs someone who can allow him to set the pace for affection. In his former life, he coexisted nicely with a large dog and his brother. However, things turned stressful when a young family member began chasing him, leading to some litter box issues. It seems those accidents were more about anxiety than behavioral problems. For his well-being, a calm and predictable home would greatly benefit him. Frasier is an indoor cat who wasn’t accustomed to being outside, and the transition to the rescue has made him retreat a bit. He’s currently settling into a quieter space within the bookstore. Though he hides more than we’d prefer, he's already showing signs of wanting interaction; just offer a scratch, and he leans right in. He desires contact but isn't yet ready to ask for it openly. If you have the patience for a gentle introduction and are looking for a cat who once he trusts you will make you his whole world, Frasier is definitely worth the wait. Ready to meet Frasier?
