About FernyHandsome and Affectionate Tuxedo
Ferny, a handsome tuxedo cat, is ready for adoption after a challenging start. He arrived at the shelter in spring with several health issues, including scabies and eye problems. After receiving proper care, he underwent entropion surgery and had several teeth removed. He is now fully healed, about 4 years old, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and FELV negative. Ferny’s FIV positive status means he has a weakened immune system, but he can still lead a long, healthy life alongside non-FIV cats. The virus isn’t easily spread, making him a suitable companion for other friendly felines. This affectionate kitty craves human companionship, often following his foster mom around and communicating with sweet meows for attention and food. Ferny enjoys head scratches, cuddling on fleece blankets, and playing with spring toys. He gets along well with other cats and has been introduced to small dogs without fear. While he hasn't been around children, he would likely thrive with older, cat-friendly kids. Remember, he thrives on wet food due to his lower thirst drive, crucial for his long-term health. Looking for a loving home where he can be cherished, Ferny is ready to bring joy into your life. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
