About Amber
Amber has had a tough past, found in a field with three other dogs near the Texas/Mexico border. Unlike the others, she was nursing puppies that had been taken away, leaving her heartbroken and full of milk but without her babies to care for. Thankfully, over time, Amber has transformed into the most loving and sweet girl, despite her hardship. At about 4 years old and weighing 42 lbs, Amber is a beagle mix, a small dog with shorter legs, but she’s not like the vocal beagles. One delightful quirk is her excitement when someone goes to pick her up; she rolls onto her back, wiggles her little legs, and craves belly rubs. She adores human contact and would flourish in a calm, affectionate home where cuddles and belly scratches are a must. Amber is friendly with other dogs and does fine sharing space with cats, too. She’s gentle and submissive, enjoying the company of everyone she meets. Crate and house trained, she loves being around her humans more than anything. If you talk sweetly to her, she’ll dance around in pure joy. If you're seeking a laid-back companion who's eager for love and attention, consider welcoming Amber into your home.
