About Oscar
Oscar is an adventurous companion eager to be part of your life. This friendly 1-year-old Pit Bull/Lab mix is a warm-hearted boy who thrives on human interaction and enjoys making friends with other dogs. Weighing around 60 pounds, he’s a wonderful fit for an active family. Settling quickly into his foster home, Oscar's playful side emerged after a brief shy start. He loves going on sniff walks, socializing with fellow dogs, chewing on bones, and carrying his favorite blue bull toy around. After a full day of fun, he's often found dozing off on the couch, complete with cute snores. Oscar is house trained and is on the path to mastering leash manners with ongoing training. He would really shine in a home that provides plenty of exercise and companionship. While he has managed well without a fenced yard, having one would be ideal for his energetic nature. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would thrive with a playful canine buddy, though it's not a necessity. Slow introductions to cats have also gone well. Oscar is great with teenagers and brings joy to all he meets. After several months in a shelter, he developed some separation anxiety and feels happiest close to his humans. His foster family has noted his improvement with consistent routines, training, and medication. A supportive household where someone is around often, or a furry friend, would help him continue to build confidence. With so much love to share, Oscar is ready to bring endless loyalty and joy to the right family. If you're looking for an affectionate buddy to share your days with, Oscar may just be the perfect match for you. Click apply to start the adoption process.
