Meet Pypa, a delightful girl who once went by the name Kathulu. You may remember her from a previous stay at H.A.L.O. Pypa is a year-old bundle of joy, brimming with playful puppy energy. She adores playing fetch with squeaky balls, going for long walks, rolling in the grass, and soaking up affection from her people. After expending her energy, she loves to curl up for a belly rub or lounge with her favorite toy. Pypa is best as the only dog in the house. While she loves people and has never shown resource guarding toward them, she does guard food and toys from other dogs. In her past homes, her nature has helped us identify the environment where she can flourish. She's been around cats and children, faring well in both situations. Pypa is smart, knows commands like "sit" and "lay down," and enjoys her crate as a safe space. She walks well on a leash, though she'll need guidance around critters that pique her excitement. Pypa has a medical history involving recurring urinary infections related to a hooded vulva. Although surgery was an option, she's been over two months symptom-free since returning to H.A.L.O. so we're cautiously optimistic with her current health. Pypa doesn’t require a perfect family—just one that understands her needs and appreciates her warm, playful spirit.
