About Pretty Bonnet
Pretty Bonnet has a remarkable story of resilience. For four long years, she merely survived, growing up in the yard of an abandoned house, facing the harsh realities of life outdoors. Neighbors would see her come and go, nursing litter after litter, yet no one ever saw the puppies; her plight went largely unnoticed. Eventually, after months of attempts to rescue her, Bonnet found her way to BARC. By then, trust was a distant memory, but against the odds, she still craved kindness. Shelter volunteers marveled at her sweetness, as she found comfort resting her head in their laps. Despite her gentle spirit, Bonnet faced a grim fate due to heartworms and an upper respiratory infection, landing on the euthanasia list. But we couldn't let that happen. Now, Bonnet has completed her heartworm treatment and is ready for adoption. At around four years old and weighing about 50 lbs, she’s a medium-sized mix who gets along with dogs and cats, and she’s even good with children. Bonnet is house trained and has found a safe, loving environment where kindness reigns. She’s on her way to Massachusetts and is eager to find her forever home. Her journey has just begun—let’s rewrite her story together. Ready to make a difference? Click apply to start the adoption process.
