About Genie
Genie is a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees who clearly prefers the comforts of home over her original livestock guardian duties. Initially meant to protect, she would rather enjoy life as a house dog instead of returning to farm life. Sweet and gentle, Genie may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once she does, she’ll offer her signature Pyr paw, a unique way of letting you know she's present. She previously lived with a family that included a one-year-old but has since been returned because she'd be happier with older children who respect her space. Although it's tough for her former family, they believe she's better suited for a different environment. She enjoys the company of other dogs as long as they are calm; high-energy pups aren’t her style. In fact, she might thrive best as the solo pet, soaking up all the attention. She also gets along well with cats. Genie appreciates a fenced-in yard for soaking up the sun but also loves daily walks. This lovely girl needs an experienced owner who understands her breed.
