About Athena POB
Athena POB is an extraordinary Belgian Malinois ready for her forever home. This beautiful girl is about 1 year and 2 months old and weighs around 50 pounds, making her a medium-sized companion with a striking yellow/tan and black coat. Athena is part of the Paws on the Block program and, due to her unique needs, will only be available for private meets, avoiding Saturday adoption events. Athena thrives in a home without other dogs or young children. She is crate trained, potty trained, and leash trained, though she seeks an adopter experienced with Malinois or similar breeds. These dogs are known for their intelligence and loyalty, and Athena is no exception. She loves to learn and mentally engage while finding a balance between physical activity and rest. Although she enjoys exercise, Athena can be anxious, so it's crucial to recognize her emotional needs and provide structure. Having transitioned to the Paws on the Block program from the shelter environment, Athena has been given the chance to decompress and grow. While she may be cautious around new people, once she trusts you, she'll be a loyal companion for life. With time, patience, and understanding, you’ll see the wonderful spirit she possesses. If you think you can provide her the stable, loving home she craves, click apply to start the adoption process.
