About Tawny

Tawny is a joyful puppy who has been nurtured in a loving foster home since she was just six weeks old. This early start means she’s had all the comforts but is now ready for her forever family. She enjoys entertaining herself with toys and loves interactive playtime with people. While she’s still learning her potty training, she’s making progress. Tawny tends to go as soon as she reaches the grass, although she needs frequent outdoor visits to be sure. In her playful spirit, she is learning boundaries and responds well to guidance about chewing on the right things. This little Pit Bull Terrier is currently cautious around older dogs but is developing friendships, often playfully nudging them with her nose. After recovering from a previous injury, she can now walk, run, and even navigate stairs. Swimming, however, isn’t her favorite activity! Tawny is still with her foster family, and if you’d like to meet her, an adoption counselor can coordinate a time for you at the Vanderburgh Humane Society. Your new best friend is just one click away.
