About Penny
Meet Penny. This shy and sensitive cat is on a journey to learn that the world can be a safe and welcoming place. Under her timid exterior lies a sweet girl who absolutely craves gentle affection. Once you sit beside her, Penny's soft purring begins almost instantly, often accompanied by tiny, plaintive "ow" meows that seem to express her appreciation for your company. Penny's endearing habit of hiding her face when bashful adds to her charm, despite happily soaking up some pets. She initially took her time settling into her foster home, observing from a cozy hiding spot before gradually gaining confidence. Most active during the quiet hours of the night, she loves unwinding on the couch or curling up in bed beside her favorite person for some soothing cuddle time. While she enjoys the company of people, she doesn't actively seek out attention. Instead, she welcomes it when you approach. Penny gets along well with other cats but is searching for a calm, quiet home without young, energetic dogs or small children. At 12 years old, she is altered, vaccinated, and currently taking anxiety medication. A patient adopter who allows her to blossom at her own pace will be rewarded with a deeply loving companion. This could be the start of something paws-ome.
