About Moostifer
Moostifer is a 3-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog weighing a solid 107 pounds of fluffy affection. This gentle giant is adapting to his foster home, and once he warms up, his sweet disposition shines through. Though believed to be house-trained, Moostifer is still settling in and has had a few accidents, but with routine and patience, he’s likely to improve. One thing is clear: crates are not for him! Finding one large enough for his size is a challenge anyway. Moostifer gets along well with his canine housemates, including a Great Pyrenees and two lively puppies. He enjoys being included in their activities, so he would thrive best with mellow dog companions who appreciate a friendly, oversized shadow. While he hasn't interacted with kids in his current foster home, he's known to have done well with children in the past. Due to his excitement and big bark, a home without shared walls would be ideal for him. A securely fenced yard would allow him to play freely, explore, and bask in the outdoors. His foster mom shares that he gets incredibly excited when you return home, often jumping up to say hello. Moostifer loves affection and takes treats gently. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion, Moostifer might be the perfect fit for you. With a little patience during his adjustment period, he’ll surely become your devoted best friend for life. His minimum adoption fee is $400, plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents. Click apply to start the adoption process.
