About Rooster
Meet Rooster, a vibrant 1-year, 7-month-old Australian Cattle Dog with a zest for life. He thrives on adventures and has a notable love for water. Rooster bursts with energy, typical of his breed, and enjoys engaging in community events and outings where he confidently greets adults, kids, and other dogs with enthusiasm. His affinity for water is unmatched; kiddie pools are his absolute favorite, and he was the life of the party at our Fast & Furriest event, jumping in joy to cool off. Rooster has truly blossomed with socialization. He was an excellent companion on a recent 2.5-mile run, transitioning from an excited start to becoming a great running partner. Even when faced with an unexpected off-leash dog, Rooster demonstrated his calm demeanor by creating space instead of reacting. He's made quite an impression during shelter outings, charming everyone with his friendly personality while visiting places like Pet Supplies Plus. Though he’s still refining a few social manners, Rooster is fully potty trained and eager to learn. His previous owner surrendered him because of his strong herding instincts, so he needs an adopter who can provide structure and plenty of mental and physical stimulation. Rooster is selective with male dogs and would thrive in a household without small children. If you're looking for a smart, adventurous companion ready to make a splash, Rooster could be your perfect match. Ready to make Rooster a part of your family?
