Joystill needs some ongoing training, but she is eager to learn.

Meet Joy, a charming young Labrador Retriever currently in Sanford, FL. Joy came to Pet Rescue by Judy from a partnering rescue in Puerto Rico. She and her companion Sky were found wandering the streets, and now they're discovering the love and care of humans. Joy is a bit shy and nervous, especially around new people and loud noises, but she’s beginning to open up, especially when in the company of other dogs. Having a confident canine companion can help boost her confidence and show her what it’s like to be part of a family. Joy is great with children, although she may not respond well to loud sounds. She enjoys cuddles and is making strides in overcoming her shyness, thanks to her ongoing puppy training. House training is a work in progress, but she is learning and doing well in a crate. Joy would thrive in a home that provides a structured environment filled with patience and positive reinforcement.
