Hemi is an 8-year-old male American Staffordshire Terrier. He has a medium build and sports a beautiful gray, blue, and silver coat. Hemi is altered and vaccinated, making him ready for adoption. He demonstrates house-trained behavior and is a loving companion located in Bakersfield, CA.

About Hemi

Hemi found himself in a tough spot when he was discovered exhausted by the roadside in January 2021, with a tight string around his neck and a crooked leg from prior injuries. Despite this past, he remains trusting and eager for affection. Once he's out of his run, he settles easily and enjoys attention from people. Affectionate and responsive, Hemi comes when called and is easy to handle, showing no sensitivity to grooming routines. He requires some joint support for his leg, but his gait, while a bit awkward, doesn't hinder his ability to walk comfortably. Leisurely strolls suit him best, along with swimming, which he loves, for exercise. Hemi enjoys the company of other dogs and is gradually being introduced to play groups. However, he hasn't been tested with cats. The rescue hopes to help Hemi transition to the loving home he deserves, where he can flourish. Ready to help Hemi find his forever family? Apply today!
