About Washington

Meet Washington! At just a year and a half old, he's a big, goofy puppy with an even bigger heart. Washington spent four long months in a county shelter, patiently waiting for a loving home but became an invaluable member of the shelter's playgroup program. His friendly nature helped him get along wonderfully with both people and other dogs, earning him the title of the shelter's "go-to" dog. He gently welcomed newcomers into playgroups and shared his kennel with more rambunctious dogs, showcasing his incredible social skills. Despite the challenges of shelter life, Washington's kind spirit never wavered. He’s affectionate and eager to love, ready to soak up every bit of attention you can give him. Like any young dog, he’s refining his manners, sometimes jumping up in excitement when greeted, but that can be easily managed with training. If you’re in search of a loyal companion for adventures or cozy evenings, Washington is ready to be that best friend. After waiting so long for someone to see his potential, he can't wait to find his forever home. Come meet Washington—he might just be the missing piece your family needs.
