About Judah
Meet Judah, a charming five-year-old American Shorthair, who has been bringing joy to his family since he was rescued as a tiny 6-week-old kitten from a puddle in Texas. Judah is an affectionate and playful cat with a delightful personality and a voice that can fill a room. He loves engaging in conversations, so if you’re looking for a cat that enjoys a good chat, he’s your guy! His favorite activities include head scratches, butt scratches, and those delightful butt taps that get him purring instantly. Judah is curious and loves playtime, although he tends to play a bit roughly. He would thrive best with someone who understands cat body language and enjoys interactive play. In recent years, after moving to Richmond, Judah dealt with a urinary tract infection that led to a switch to a prescription urinary diet. Since then, he’s been healthy, but he can get a bit stressed. When overwhelmed, he may urinate outside the litter box, signaling that he needs a calmer environment. Therefore, he needs a home that offers a peaceful atmosphere. Due to changes in his household dynamics after a new baby arrived, Judah is seeking a quieter home, ideally with adults or older children who can respect his space. He’s not aggressive; however, he sometimes raises his paw when feeling apprehensive. With love and respect, he will flourish and return to being the happy, talkative companion he’s meant to be.
